How to Be Successful
Is your New Year’s Resolution to be more successful? Do you feel that your potential is being limited? Or, do you just want to achieve a little more success? Join us for the February chapter meeting and hear from a panel of professionals on how to be more successful. Our panelists will discuss:
- Networking Avenues: Dana Darrow will discuss the hot spots for identifying and networking with the “right” people.
- Skills Sets and Attributes of Successful People: Dan Wiechec will discuss attributes, characteristics and personality traits of successful people, along with the importance of certifications..
- Effective Resumes & Cover Letters: Arthur Gluzman will discuss effective resumes, what are prospective employers looking for in your resume and what is included in an effective cover letter.
- Successful Interviewing Tips: Sarah Ponsler will discuss tips and tricks to help you prepare for and achieve a successful interview.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received by Noon on the Tuesday one week prior to the meeting to receive a refund. If you find that you are unable to attend the meeting after the cancellation deadline, you may find a replacement and notify the Chapter Administrator at chapteradmin@detroitiia.org. In the case of inclement weather, please contact the venue at 313-563-5000 to determine if the meeting will be held. Refunds will be processed only if the venue cancels the event.

Each member can update his/her information on the IIA International web site:
Members Only section
You will need your membership # and password to log in.
Click on Update Profile in the left
margin. This will bring up the screen to make changes.
Be sure to "submit" at the very end.
